HOME AWAY from home. My wife and I have rented this house before and we have always loved it. The owners are great and we find new things that are updated from the year before. Last year it was a new kitchen and deck. This year we found new bathrooms and a pool! We got to play volleyball in the sandy side yard and a little basketball on the paved driveway. She beat me, but who is keeping score. The pictures did not do it justice, It was a great surprise. The beach weather was great, and the stairs to the beach were just redone. We look forward to going back again. Thank you for another great stay!

“Great stay for a family from 1 month old to 65 years old”

SeaEsta was our first house in North Carolina. We really enjoyed the place! This place is full equiped for a nice moment without trouble. Kitchen is as equiped as our own and we only had to buy our food and soaps. We really like the all open floor for the kitchen, living and dining room. It allows people to be together even when cooking while others are playing games in the living.

Speaking of games, we brought a few from home but had a great surprise when we found the shelves full of board games and books. The monopoly kept us away from boredom on a certain rainy morning. Didn't have to use the tv s and Nintendo! There was even toys for our little 2 years old girl. She really enjoyed the kid knect box.
Rooms were big enough as we were there only to sleep. We could even open our baby cribs in 2 of them, which was great!
Bathrooms were ok too. Ok, we would have like a hand-held shower nozzle, easier to rinse after the beach and to wash the kids, but nothing can be perfect! And even without it, we were clean!
As for the beach, the beach cart was really helpful. the house isn't on the beach but it's not that far either, A little walk of 5 minutes only, We enjoyed the fact there was sand toys for the kids. Water was great and we played a lot in the waves, even our babies. We were happy to see there was body boards. We found them broken (we found them in half at our arrival) but we could still use them, and enjoy even more the waves. Beach was one of the nicest I went to. Nice waves, not too strong, just enough to play in, water was warm sand is awsome and there's a lot of space even on high tide.
Only thing, some of the moskito screens of the veranda could use a bit of repairs, as well as its doors. But it didn't stop us to use it and we didn't turn into a meal for beetles.   Really great place and I would rent it again for sure!

Another hassle free vacation.  SeaEsta was so clean and family friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay at SeeEsta and didn't want to leave. The house was comfortable, clean and pretty updated. The location was perfect - close to large grocery store and quaint shops, yet private and a quick walk to the beach.

We enjoyed our stay at SeaEsta (formerly popcorn & Rootbeer) there were 4 adults and 2 teenagers in our group. It was just a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed going to the lake to feed the turtles. The place was very nice, and private. The Owners provided prompt service. We would definitely rent SeaEsta again.

The service and description of the home was right on point. We arrived well after the office closed and the key and info for the house was readily available and the location was great. We really loved the homes layout and the easy access to the beach was great. They had all the beach things we need and the beach cart was such a blessing for our 2yr old. She got to get a ride in it every time we went to the beach. The house was very clean and very very well stocked. There was nothing that we had to get but food. I assume more renovations are in order like new lower cabinets and drawers and a new dishwasher to match the other appliances. The only thing that I could not figure out was how to turn the carport lights on. I saw the switch outside but the lights did not work. Other than that the house was very well taken care of, things were labeled for convenience, the beach access was great. If it gets a pool sometime in the future, that would be an added plus. I (we) would definitely rent this house out again. Thanks for the opportunity to stay in this quite cozy home.

It was hard to tell from the property description, but SeaEsta is well set up for two families of 4. It's arranged with a bedroom for adults with a queen bed, a jack and jill bathroom, and a bedroom with bunk beds, and there are 2 such groups. So, it's like each family gets a side of the floor.
The house is, for the most part, pretty nice. The top floor, with the kitchen and living area, have been nicely redone about 75% of the way, but some things like the lower cabinets in the kitchen are a bit dated. I suspect they're renovating a bit at a time, as the upper cabinets are nice and new. The kitchen was well stocked; it even had a Keurig machine, although you won't find a sharp knife. We ate most meals in and made plenty of use of the charcoal grill.
It's only a 5-10 minute walk to the beach, and there is a nice sand path that doesn't cross any roads, and the beach there is very nice. The provided beach cart has big fat tires so it rolls easily on the sand and works great. The outdoor shower was also great for washing off kids. The house was sort of hidden back in the woods a little and at the end of a street so that it felt somewhat private, and we saw some decent wildlife (lots of birds, turtles in the nearby pond, and even a fox).
We had no problems at with appliances or AC, so it seems well maintained, and the washer and drier were nice. Wireless internet worked well.
Overall, for 2 families each with a 5yr and 3yr, this worked out perfectly. Rental office was easy, picked up the keys no problem, and was able to just call a number to check out
. New sharp knives are now available

It was the best furnished house we've stayed in and I've been coming to the Outer Banks for over 30 years. I also spoke with the owner who was very nice and appreciate of us closing things up in preparation for hurricane Irene. We had a wonderful week!

Need to tighten the front of the silverware door. The hurricane messed up some of the screens on the house and this was reported to maintenance man when he brought us new keys. We were very pleased with the amenities that the owners provided (bikes boogie boards, lounge chairs, cart), an added plus to the rental.
